While YouTube has intervened to recommend fewer deceptive or dangerous videos through its automated recommendations, this research showed that it wasn't enough to stop people from finding bogus information anyway. The researchers found that Amazon eventually deleted roughly one-third of the bogus reviews, but typically only after an average lag of more than 100 days.
