INSTALLATION
1) Run the downloaded exe to install the software.
2) Go into your desktop properties section and select 'Aiwarsss' as your screen saver.
FEATURE LIST
- The screen saver always runs in 3D 640x480 mode and primarily uses the top down view form of follow mode.
- The camera moves around from time to time to focus on the action.
- The screen saver will choose a random recorder battle '.r3d' file every time it launches. This beta comes with 4 battles. Copy any additional battle '.r3d' files you have into your 'C:\Windows' directory to add to your screen savers selection. If your '.r3d' file uses non standard theme '.DAT' files make sure that they (and any texture '.BMP' that is non standard and referenced by it) are copied into your 'C:\Windows' directory as well.
- This screen saver uses most of the same technology used by the full version of A.I. Wars (the Insect Mind) 3D and can be considered a good test of your hardware to see if the 3D part of the full version will work on your system. The 2D part works on most systems so if your PC can't handle the 3D graphics, the 2D should work fine for you, try the shareware version if you havn't tested the 2D mode on your system. The full version of 'A.I. Wars (The Insect Mind) 3D' has 2D, 3D and Text modes so you should be able to enjoy A.I. Wars on almost any system.
SCREEN SAVER SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP
- Directx 8
- DirectX compatible Sound Card
- DirectX compatible 3D Accelerator (4MB+) With DirectX 8 Driver support (see tested hardware list here)
- 17 MB of hard disk space (above and beyond the current hard drive space used by A.I. Wars)
- 233 MHz Pentium processor or greater
- Minimum 64MB RAM memory suggested on Win98 (32MB may work but you'll probably end up using your swap file) Higher memory requirements may be needed for NT and XP due to the larger OS size.
